Mary Beth McCabe – Sun Marketing

The San Diego Advertising Club has presented its Lifetime Achievement Award to Carmel Valley resident Mary Beth McCabe, owner of Sun Marketing, an advertising agency that specializes in targeting Hispanic consumers.

The award was recently presented at the Ad Club’s Hispanic Marketing Day educational program. McCabe’s firm has developed Hispanic marketing campaigns for clients such as JC Penney, American Airlines, True Value Hardware, Gerber Baby Foods, Excel Telecommunications and Pardee Homes.

She also is known for her extensive research on the Hispanic market, and her findings have been presented at meetings of the Marketing Research Association and the National Association of Broadcasters. She earned a doctorate in business from Alliant University in San Diego and a master’s in business administration from DePaul University in Chicago. McCabe has visited every continent and writes travel articles under the pseudonym “Dr. Mary Travelbest”.
